Pura Vida! We are really happy to present to you this coffee from our youngest partner. A real powerhouse called Joyce Calderon Martinez. During her 5 years as a coffee producer, she has really shown her passion and love for this profession in her coffees. With flavor notes of ripe apricot, cream soda, orange blossom, and maple syrup this coffee is going to make your heart sing.

Joyce is the youngest daughter of the Calderon Martínez family that owns and runs eight farms and their own processing plant, micro beneficio, called Granitos de Altura del Ortiz.

The beneficio is nowadays run mainly by the four sisters: Jocksileny, Johana, Diana, and Joyce. Joyce has been very driven to coffee farming at a young age. Instead of a big 15th birthday party that’s accustomed to Costa Rica, she requested for her own coffee farm and ever since that she has been doing exceptional things with coffee. She cultivates Typica, Gesha, SL28 and other experimental varieties to Costa Rica.
