We are really excited to present to you our first coffee from Mexico.
This bright and sweet, fully washed Red Bourbon variety nano lot comes from the farmer Lorenzo Intzin, one of the first farmers to partner with Cafeologo, run by a true coffee professional Jesus Salazar. The complex and bright coffee combines the sweetness of marzipan and dark brown sugar with bright citrus fruit notes and ripe cherries.
We recommend this coffee for filter coffee, pour-over, AeroPress, French press.

The farmer, Lorenzo Intzin, is a long-time partner of Cafeólogo as a part of a project involving the Mayan communities. He is one of the 4 farmers this project was started in 2010. Don Lorenzo comes from the Mayan community and Tzeltal ethnic group that live in the area of Sibactel, Tenejapa. Here Cafeólogo works together with 70 micro-producers who cultivate high-quality coffee under the shade of the Mexican primary forest. Each farmer producing only around 20 bags a year means that coffee growing is not viable as the only source of income for them. But with selective harvesting, processing methods, and drying the quality and therefore the price the farmers get can rise. And this is exactly where Jesus, a q-processor, a coffee roaster, a barista, can help with his expertise. To encourage the meticulously done selective harvesting and farming methods and to better the income of the farmers, Cafeólogo buys the coffees in cherries but with the price of parchment.
Jesus surrounds himself with partners sharing his state of mind, his philosophy, his values to defend a different coffee growing in Mexico, returning to a high quality that is creating value for the indigenous production communities.
